### Similarities

### Differences

2:3 or 2/3. Fractions, on the other hand, are always expressed using the fraction format, such as 2/3.

**2) Whole Numbers vs. Real Numbers** – Ratios can be composed of whole numbers, whereas fractions can represent any real number, including fractions and decimals.

**3) Interpretation** – Ratios often represent a comparison between two quantities, such as the ratio of boys to girls in a classroom. Fractions, however, are used to represent a part of a whole, such as 2/3 of a pizza.

**4) Usage** – Ratios are commonly used in various contexts, including finance, statistics, and everyday comparisons. Fractions are used in a wide range of mathematical operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
